FORE TH’E NEIDFAERAE
At the conclusion of the exhibition period of the video installation “Fore th’eneidfaerae” created by the Ferrariofreres group, the premieres of two musical works are presented. The first is the “Ballade du cinquième de la Petite cosmogonie portative,” originally composed on the basis of an Argentine milonga for solo voice and accordion. The ballad features the text from the fifth canto of Raymond Queneau’s scientific poem “Petite cosmogonie portative.”
This composition, a divertissement on the history of the world, traces the evolution of life on Earth. It’s a work where scientific narrative turns into mythology for a generation orphaned of gods but still riding the unifying faith in progress, not yet dissolved by cultural relativism resolved in fashion by the postmodern era.
The second piece, “Walkabout,” is a composition in which a musician will play the songs of the earth with sounds and melodies from the didgeridoo accompanying the projected video.
Feet trace the path, creating the road through song, and from the earth emerge in every place epiphanies of dream fragments influenced by ancestral artists of the journey of every artist. These works, around which the de-vernissage is structured, serve as a thank you to all those who made the exhibition possible and to all those who showed sympathy towards the group and appreciated the exhibition.
